Vespa is an Italian brand of scooter manufactured by Piaggio. The name means wasp in Italian.
Vespa Paperino 1943 - 1944
Towards the end of the Second World War, Enrico Piaggio was driven to start up production again by the idea of offering the widest possible market a low-cost product. And, with this idea in mind, the factory at Biella produced a motor-scooter. This prototype, designed by the engineer Renzo Spolti and coded MP5 (Moto Piaggio 5), was christened “Paperino”, that is “Donald Duck”, by the workers.
Vespa 150 TAP - 1956
In the 1950s the French defence Ministry commissioned A.C.M.A., Piaggio’s French licensee, to produce a vehicle for military use. The result was the very special Vespa 150 T.A.P. (Truppe Aero Portate – air troops carrier), of which about 600 units were produced from 1956 to 1959 at A.C.M.A.’s factory.

Lambretta Li Special
In 1963, Li 150 Special was presented with several new features. Designed as a sportier version with standard Li, but a cheaper alternative to TV, the special was granted different style, the way of the new revision of the 3 Series, the panel's work for television, including a kit octagonal headset, keeps fenders, gray trunk and side panels. The side panels have flashing fingers in front and rear, and two cards of Lambretta.
